Abstract

This study analyzes the reliability of electrical distribution networks for the planned development of a Geothermal Power Plant (GPP) in an isolated area, specifically on Bacan Island, South Halmahera Regency, Nort Maluku Province. Geothermal energy has significant potential to provide renewable energy to remote areas that are difficult to reach by conventional electrical networks. The study utilizes ETAP software (Load Flow Analysis) and field primary data to assess the reliability of the distribution network, including analysis of losses, % loading,SAIDI, SAIFI, and Energy Not Supplied (ENS). The aim of this research is to provide an overview of the current distribution network conditions, as well as the challenges and solutions necessary to ensure a stable electricity supply in the region. The findings indicate that although the GPP in the area holds great potential, challenges remain in integrating with the existing distribution network and maintaining infrastructure in areas with difficult geographical conditions.
