This study attempts to determine typology of public arts in urban park of Central Surabaya and publics’ perceptions of each artwork. This study was done qualitatively, by doing direct observation and unstructured interviews to people who currently live in Surabaya city. We found several types of public arts that are exhibited in Surabaya urban parks. The publics perceptions were mainly positive about the public art, however they favour monumental type of artwork more than functional ones.
