Electricity demand in the industry 4.0 era continuous to increase in line with rapid technological development and human activities. To support the sustainability of the power generation system and Indonesia’s target of net zero emissions by 2060, the government promotes energy diversification through the 35,000 MW program and the application of green energy technologies such as biomass co-firing. This study aims to analyze the technical, economic, and environmental impact of 5% sawdust biomass co-firing with coal at Indramayu CFPP unit 2. The evaluation was conducted by observing parameter such as mill current and outlet temperature, Furnace Exit Gas Temperature (FEGT), and Specific Fuel Consumption. Result show that sawdust, with gross calorific value 1943 kcal/kg, increase SFC and production cost by Rp 10.86/kWh, but remains within normal operation limits. Environmentally, SO2 emissions decrease by 12% and Nox by 1.35%. Although the 2S/Cl ratio indicates a potential for active corrosion, the risk can be controlled through intensive monitoring. Sawdust co-firing is considered feasible as a transition strategy toward a low-carbon power generation system in Indonesia.
